Basic Function:

  • Provide patient care, supervise and educate healthcare staff, participate in quality assurance, and contribute to the training, research, and administrative functions of the Internal Medicine Division.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation from a recognized medical school with board certification in Internal Medicine. Completion of an accredited residency program acceptable to NGHA.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years (training and post-training) in Internal Medicine, including at least one year abroad in a tertiary care center.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (Essential); Arabic (Essential).
  • Computer Skills: Expert level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-standard inpatient and outpatient care aligned with NGHA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide consultation services within and outside the department during regular and on-call hours.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per granted privileges.
  • Supervise and mentor residents, Associate/Assistant Consultants, and staff physicians, serving as a role model.
  • Actively engage in quality improvement programs and scientific research initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call coverage, divisional, departmental, and organizational committees, and adhere to all professional and ethical standards.
  • Maintain respect for patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring professionalism and compliance with organizational bylaws.
